Nursery Dance Sessions
Our Philosophy
We believe that dance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age. With this in mind, we provide enjoyable dance sessions in partnership with local nurseries. Our aim is to offer children the opportunity to dance and enjoy music in a supportive and fun environment.
Children’s Engagement
The children are consistently enthusiastic about our sessions, often asking whether it is a dancing day multiple times during the week. Their excitement is clear, especially when they have the chance to participate in the company showcase event. Watching themselves perform on stage brings them immense joy and a sense of accomplishment.
Curriculum and Inclusion
Our sessions are thoughtfully planned to cover all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. We present activities in a way that is both fun and engaging, ensuring that every child feels included. We adapt our activities as needed to maintain full inclusivity, so each child can take part and thrive.
A Sense of Belonging
We pride ourselves on becoming an integral part of the nursery family. By building strong relationships with both children and staff, we help to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every child can enjoy the benefits of dance.
Adult Dance Sessions
Dance isn’t just for the young!! At EDC Dance we believe that everyone deserves the chance to dance. We offer dance sessions throughout the region, working in partnership with local charities and care homes, providing dance for the elderly and for adults with disabilites and/or health challenges, providing opportunities for dance exercise and enjoyment.
Please do contact us if you would like to explore the possibility of us running dance exercise classes for you, or a loved one, within any carehome or adult day centre enviornment

TESTIMONIALS
Hear From Our Community
We have had EDC dance come into The Monkey House Nursery School for over a year now, to deliver a 45 minute dance lesson with the children. The children all eagerly look forward to each and every session. Often asking if it’s a Kayleigh day on several days during the week. They were all so excited to be included in this year’s showcase event and love watching themselves back performing on the stage. Kayleigh plans and delivers sessions that cover every area of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in a fun and engaging way. She always ensures every child is included and adapts activities to ensure that she is fully inclusive. Kayleigh has truly become part of The Monkey House family.
Thank you so much it was incredible, the timing was awesome, the songs great and to see the smile on all those little faces made my week. I am not sure what I was expecting, but not anything as awesomely fantastic. Coach Kayleigh and team you smashed it!

Just back from the show! It was awesome. We LOVED watching it. And I know Alice has loved practising and performing.
I just wanted to send a quick email and say how impressed I was by the showcase on Sunday. It was absolutely wonderful and I know the children from St Mary’s really enjoyed the opportunity to perform – they have not stopped talking about it! The values of EDC shone through and I’m sure you were so proud of every single child who took part. I cried at least 3 times and I didn’t even know most of the children! Keep doing what you are doing, it’s very special.
What a great show that was, they all did brilliantly – and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when your darlings from Icknield came on too, weren’t they amazing!

Thank you for giving the kids the opportunity to perform at the weekend. It was really lovely to see your inclusive groups, and how every child was given the chance to come to the front of the stage, regardless of ability. So nice that they can just have fun dancing.
And thank you for putting on such a fabulous show! The girls had the best time, and I love how inclusive you are, and how you find a way to showcase everyone! Thank you so much!
Can I just say – you are amazing! Last night was a pure joy to watch. You should be super proud.

WOW what an amazing family you have created with EDCD! We were amazed with the showcase tonight and seeing all children up on stage enjoying themselves is fantastic!
We are so pleased that F has joined the EDCD family! We looked forward to the showcase each year!
I have been dancing with EDC for coming upto 3 years now. It’s been great for my fitness, confidence and love for music and dancing. I’ve learnt so many new skills and jump out of bed every Friday morning with excitement for my lesson. I love doing the shows and showing my family all I’ve learnt.
A is really enjoying her classes with you at EDCD. She is so passionate about learning the routines and loves putting on a show for us at home. It’s really inspired her to choreograph her own routines too!
We absolutely love EDCDANCE. The opportunities they give to all ages and abilities is incredible. M has been dancing with EDCD since she was 4 and thoroughly enjoys and look forwards to her weekly classes especially performing in the annual shows. Can’t recommend them enough especially Kayleigh who all the kids love.
St Joseph’s Holiday @ Home provides activities, entertainment and refreshments for elderly people, some in their 90’s, of faith and no faith, organised and run by volunteers. Holiday @ Home has been running successfully since 2013. Kayleigh, EDC Dance, has been one of the main highlight activities for our Group for many years now. All our Guests and Volunteers, , are very pleased and willing to take part, either sitting or standing, in Kayleigh’s wonderful musical routines with excitement and energy. It is a real joy to see everyone enjoying the sing-a-long and exercise routines. Smiles and laughter throughout while they are all having a great time and we eagerly look forward to the next time EDC Dance comes. New and exciting routines to popular songs never fail to please and excite. always, whilst encouraging gentle exercise.
My daughter has been going to EDCDance for a couple of years now, and absolutely loves it. I really like that the classes are fun, and anyone can dance at EDCDance, the inclusiveness makes it so much more special. I enjoy seeing my daughter’s new moves at home when she is practicing with her friends. Kayleigh also puts a show together with all the classes that she teaches throughout the year. It is a must and we always look forward to it as a family.
EDCD has given me so much confidence to dance, and having the club after school means I can have lots of fun with all my friends. I have learnt so many routines in the past 3 years which I am so proud of and even been brave enough to enter talent shows on holiday! Being given the opportunity to take part in the show every year makes me feel important and like a real dancer. It’s great to be able to win certificates for the best dancer of the week too as that makes me feel really proud of myself. Thank you coach Kayleigh for coming to our school. I really hope I can keep dancing with EDCD when I leave in the summer.
I’ve been dancing with EDCD for 3 years and had so much fun. I’m so glad I’ve been able to continue dance after primary school. Preparing and taking part in the shows is an amazing experience especially because of the friends I have made through the club.
My 5yr old daughter has been dancing with EDCDANCE after school for a couple of years now. She loves it! Her coach, Morgan, is brilliant and always chooses fun music and routines for the children. We love the company’s ethos that dance is for everyone. My daughter has benefitted hugely from her dance club: it has been great for her self-confidence and her listening skills. It was a proud moment to see her up on the stage taking part in the EDCDance showcase performance last spring. Thank you EDCDance!
E comes home tired from her dance lesson which much mean she has had a good time. She only says good things about dance, saying she likes the dances and enjoys learning the dance moves.
I like doing the routines and all the songs. Kayleigh has a lot of energy and she can think of good dance routines.
A has always been a quiet and anxious child, so we were really happy when she wanted to try the after school dancing club. EDC has been her absolute favourite for the last 3(?) years and last year she was at the front of the stage for part of the showcase. We never thought she’d make it out of the wings!
If A is ever off school on an EDC day she is so sad to miss it.
EDC has made such a positive difference to A. She adores the lessons and her confidence in every aspect of her life has been improved by Kayleigh and the EDC crew. Thank you so much xx
A has always loved going to Dance club after school and is always keen to show us what dance she has been learning.
A describes Kayleigh as enthusiastic and kind which is always evident when she hosts the annual dance shows. It’s clear to see how inclusive EDC Dance are and it’s actually quite moving to not only watch your own child perform on stage but to see how happy everyone else is to be up there. This is a reflection of the time and patience that is put in to each and every group of children to match individual abilities and allow for everyone to perform.
Kayleigh ensures the children are all involved by allowing them to voice their own ideas about what songs they might like to be choreographed in the sessions, this is really refreshing as it shows that Kayleigh encourages participation and offers a more diverse choice of music.
A has been enjoying going to Dance for a couple of years now and it has always been the highlight of her week. Thank you for all your hard work and we hope for many more years of involvement with the EDC dance family.
This is my child’s second year dancing with EDC dance, she absolutely loves dancing, she is excited to come home and show us her new dance she has learnt and also takes time to make new dances up.
Coach Kayleigh is fantastic, with such a caring nature that you can see this is more than just a job so her.
I’m so glad EDC dance has the opportunity to be at my daughters school but also that that have given my daughter the chance to dance, something that she loves and enjoys to do.
I love EDCDANCE it’s very fun the songs and dances are GREAT and you (the coach) is very talented, kind and a good teacher and dancer
I know it’s keeping her fit too. She shows me the warm ups! From my perspective it’s the club I love most. I love seeing her practise in the kitchen. She really looks forward to Fridays and dance.
I love dance because you can express yourself in dance and challenge yourself as part of a team.”
Love your booking system and calendar reminders, very useful. N seems to love dancing with you I can’t wait to see what they’ve been working on.
I like the fact we can make up our own little routines. Coach Kayleigh makes the dances exciting and fun, and includes us in the song ideas which she turn into a dance. Makes lessons really fun. I love doing all the shows. Feels really good once we have finished a dance without being helped – and also once we do this we play the word game. She lets me use my imagination.
S loves everything about EDC dance! She always tells me what an amazing coach you are and loves doing the showcases and we love watching her .I hope S continues to do it for many more years to come.
