We are delighted to offer children’s dance parties, focusing on our values of inclusivity, enjoyment and belonging – where every child gets to have fun through dance with our qualified dance party coaches.

Meet Kayleigh

Our company director, Kayleigh, has a passion for dance, which extends beyond performing to her desire to give everyone the chance to dance. She strongly believes that dance should be accessible and rewarding for all, irrespective of age, shape, size, ability or economic situation, and that dance as an art form can be appreciated by all. Dance and performance opportunities should be available for anyone.

Throughout her childhood she witnessed how dance companies always seemed to prioritize those with the best turnout, or a certain shape or look, and she was determined to change this and give everyone the chance to dance. Kayleigh completed her Post-Graduate Diploma in Community Dance, at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, after working throughout her dance degree at Teesside University with dance teachers with their own disabilities. This further inspired her and gave her the platform, with the support of her family, from which to launch Everyone Deserves the Chance to Dance Limited, aka EDC Dance, with the core values of inclusivity, belonging and enjoyment.

Kayleigh identified that there was a real need to bring dance to where people are, rather than always expecting them to come to you. As a result, we work within schools (mainstream and SEN) along with nurseries, adult day centres and care homes, as well as the more traditional evening clubs, giving hundreds of children and adults, ranging from 2 to 92, the chance to dance. We also offer Children’s Dance Parties, to enable children to experience dance whilst having fun with their friends! We also run an annual showcase to demonstrate the enjoyment and achievements possible through dance.
